Apakah Kepentingan Penaksiran dalam sesuatu Project Based Learning (PBL)???

Konsep PENAKSIRAN digunakan bagi mengukur tahap kreativiti serta kebolehan pelajar dalam sesuatu bidang terutama yang melibatkan PBL.Pelajar diberi situasi atau masalah untuk diselesaikan dan melalui itu guru, pensyarah atau penilai menggunakan teknik penaksiran untuk menilai kebolehan pelajar dalam menyesaikan sebarang masalah yang diberi.Melaluinya guru dapat mengenalpasti identiti serta keupayaan terpendam yang ada dalam diri seseorang pelajar.

Terdapat beberapa jenis penaksiran seperti:

  • Formative assesment
  • Summative assesment
  • Peer assesment
  • Self assesment
FORMATIVE ASSESMENT
Formative assesment is a range of formal and informal assesment procedures employed by teachers during the learning process in order to modify teaching and learning activities to improve student attainment. It typically involves qualitative feedback for both student and teacher that focuses on the details of content and performance. 

SUMMATIVE ASSESMENT
Summative assesment refers to the assesment of the learning and summarizes the development of learners at a particular time. Summative assesment is characterized as assesment of learning and is differ from formative assesment which is assesment for learning.  

SELF OR PEER ASSESMENT
Self or peer assesment is a process whereby students or their peers grade assignments or test based on teacher's benchmarks. The practise is employed to save teachers time and improve students' understanding of course materials as well as improve their metacognitive skills. Rubrics are often used in conjunction with self- and peer- assesment.  

PARTICIPATION RUBRIC
Participation rubric or rubric itself is used as a tool for collecting data. It is always been used in group assesment. 

PROJECT BASED LEARNING (PBL)
From wikipedia the free encyclopedia, stated that PBL is the use of in-depth and rigorous classroom projects to facilitate learning and assess student competence. PBL focuses on student-centered inquiry and group learning with the teacher acting as a facilitator.
          The purpose of PBL is to allow students to work in groups or by themselves and allows them to come up with ideas and realistic solutions or presentations. Students take a problem and apply it to a real life situation with these projects. PBL is a different teaching technique promotes and practices new learning habits. PBL also helps to develop students creative thinking skills by showing that there are many ways to solve a problem.
